Accommodations operators across the province report that 397,000 room nights were sold as of the end of April 2020. This represents a decrease of 31%, or 178,000 fewer room nights sold, compared with January to April 2019.
The full impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is evident in the sharp decline in room nights sold in April. There was a decrease in room nights sold of 75% compared with April 2019.
