On June 15th, TIANS joined a conversation with Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer of Health. This meeting was an engagement session designed to review operating obligations for tour boats and ferries. Transport Canada will be lifting some restrictions affecting this sector beginning on July 1 until further notice.
Session overview
Dr. Strang provided an overview of the government’s approach (guided by public health, to safely restore economic activity in Nova Scotia) for employees and partners to support safe operations. Following the presentation, there was an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. These questions and answers are now available for download (Q&A Marine Sector), and are listed in Tourism Strong’s FAQ tab.
